At Dental Hygiene Matters, we believe that everyone deserves access to the knowledge and resources needed to maintain a healthy smile. Through our community projects, we work to make oral hygiene education more accessible and engaging for children and families. Our initiatives include distributing oral hygiene kits, hosting educational pop-ups and community events, organizing hygiene drives, and partnering with dental clinics and local organizations to promote healthy habits. From interactive activities at community events to providing essential dental supplies to families in need, each project allows us to bring oral health education beyond the classroom and directly into our communities. Through these efforts, we strive to make preventive dental care more approachable, accessible, and meaningful for everyone we serve.

Family Sponsorship

The DHM For All Direct Program is a direct-request initiative designed to eliminate dental poverty by providing customized oral health resources to families facing financial barriers. Through the DHM For All Direct Portal, individuals and community leaders can request tailored care packages that match a household's exact size and dental needs, including specialized orthodontic supplies, clothing, and books. By delivering these essential packages straight to those in need, the program makes preventive dental care accessible, practical, and highly personalized.

DHM For All donated 240 general oral hygiene kits and 36 orthodontic kits to Oak Grove Middle School for the entire 6th grade class. The donation provided students with essential dental care supplies while promoting healthy oral hygiene habits and making preventive dental care more accessible to their school community.

Every October, DHM for All hosts a fun and spooky Halloween-themed community event filled with games, prizes, activities, and opportunities to give back. By bringing together celebration, service, and oral-health awareness, our annual event makes supporting healthier communities something everyone can be part of.

We had the incredible opportunity to speak at a SAMI (San Antonio Math Include) event to raise awareness about dental poverty. By sharing real stories and facts, we helped shine a light on how limited access to dental care impacts underserved communities—and how small acts, like education and hygiene kit distribution, can make a big difference.
