DHM offers direct financial assistance to families in need through our sponsorship program. Each month, we provide sponsored children with essential shipments that include dental hygiene kits and other resources to support their well-being. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are sometimes able to provide additional financial support to families facing urgent needs—ensuring we help in every way we possibly can.

Lives in an Underserved or At-Risk Community
Sponsorship is intended for childrenor teens (3–18) whose families are experiencing financial hardship. This includes situations such as low household income, unemployment, housing insecurity, or inability to consistently afford basic hygiene products (such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, or other personal care items). Families may be asked to provide general information about their financial situation, living conditions, or relevant documentation to confirm eligibility.
A trusted adult—such as a teacher, healthcare worker, community leader, or official representative—must nominate the child for sponsorship. Families must be willing to provide truthful information about their situation, maintain communication with DHM, and understand that any false information will result in removal from the program.
Priority is given to children who reside in a community with limited access to dental hygiene resources, healthcare, or health education. This includes rural areas, economically disadvantaged urban neighborhoods, or regions affected by crisis or instability. Priority is given to families where dental care is inaccessible due to geographic, financial, or systemic barriers. Proof of location or a description of the community’s conditions may be requested to verify eligibility.
What Sponsorship Includes
At DHM, we customize our support based on each family’s financial situation and needs. While families facing immediate risk may receive direct financial assistance, most will receive thoughtfully prepared shipments—either monthly, quarterly, or yearly—depending on their specific circumstances.

Dental Care Essentials:
Toothbrushes (child and adult sizes), fluoride toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, tongue cleaners, and educational materials about proper oral hygiene habits. -
Personal Hygiene Products:
Bar soap or body wash, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, hygiene products ), hand sanitizer, and facial tissues. -
Basic Clothing Items:
Can include: Socks, underwear, gloves, hats, and sometimes seasonal items like scarves or lightweight clothing as needed. -
Educational Materials & Books:
Age-appropriate books and activity materials designed to encourage learning, literacy, and healthy habits.

Each package is prepared with care and consideration, ensuring the resources delivered truly make a positive difference.
Please Note: At DHM, we love sharing success stories and often create portfolios for kids that have been sponsored to help raise awareness and inspire others to get involved. These may include photos, letters, or updates from the children we support. However, we understand that privacy is important. We fully respect the wishes of families and are happy to keep any sponsorship completely confidential upon request.
